Previewing an item

When you preview an item, you see it as students will see it (Standard View). Previewing also validates the XML format and saves a copy of the item. If the item has any XML formatting errors, the system displays a validation error.

To preview (and validate and save) an item:

Select Preview .

To save without previewing:

Select Save.

Note: If you mostly use the Save button, periodically check for XML errors by previewing an item or clicking Validate File . Correct any errors that display.
